Weaved with love |
Skeins of pastels weaved with love.
A blanket of quiet care and warmth.
Later to be packed away
in a blink of an eye
as an heirloom to be cherished
for future generations.
This post inspired by www.trifectawritingchallenge.com ! Today the challenge is to describe something that is three different things at the same time. Oh, and do it in 33 words.
Written with love and pictured so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteOh. It almost made me cry. It certainly made me think of the baby blanket my grandmother just made for my 5 week old son.
ReplyDeleteReminded me of the receiving blanket my mom made for my son. He came home from the hospital swaddled in it. And almost 4 years later he wears it as a super hero cape. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI have my children's flannel baby blankets (made by my mother) tucked away. This piece really brings back memories. As will those blankets, when I finally pull them out again.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet and tender! Brings back wonderful memories!
ReplyDeleteYes, very beautiful. I remember those little blankets, mostly tattered.
ReplyDeleteI have blankets and other items that were specifically made for our children tucked away for them to have as souvenirs when they are older.
ReplyDeleteThis is a sweet and lovely response to the prompt. :-)
